I figured out lots of stuff about the website scratch, even though I was confused, I made it work. I learned how to use scratch in a way not only for an animation, but for a working, interactive game. I also learned what a makey-makey was, and how to use it- that was really fun. The structure was very different than other classes that I had taken before, but in a good way. Instead of teaching everything step-by-step, we mostly had to figure things out on our own, which I think, in the long run, will be more beneficial for students. If this class was done as normal curriculum in classrooms, then I would reccomend doing things very similar, but maybe teaching a little more hands-on, because sometimes, the hands-offness sometimes left people confused. Well, I guess that's that!

Introducing my game.... Kingdom Quest! You are the redhead/brunette girl just so you know! :) Reclaim your rightful kingdom from the evil unicorn Lady Royal! You'll be using the arrow keys, the letter keys, and the mouse! My animation is called 'Kingdom Quest', which sort of explains what my game is about - A girl who finds out that she rules a kingdom, and has to reclaim her kingdom from villaness 'Lady Royal'. Lady Royal is the generic unicorn that I used the costume design tab to make dark and more rainbow. All 5 sprites I made/made my own, and there are 6 backdrops, though all are the generic backdrops found on the site.
Yesterday I found importing my drawing on flash to scratch very difficult. I haven't yet completely figured out the site either. But I know that somehow this game will get finished and it'll be freaking amazing. I do really like how my character turned out though.
Today I figured out what game that I'm making. I'm making a RPG about an unwilling princess from modern times who has to travel her ways through the levels to get to her rightful kingdom that is currently guarded by an evil villan whom our hero must defeat. I designed out the main character in flash, which I liked because it smoothed out the lines that you draw.
My favorite game that I've played so far is called 'Rainbow Escape'. The object of the game is to help your character through the levels and get to the rainbow. I liked this game because it was fun, but still difficult. To move, you used the arrow keys. The script was very complicated, and really long. Whoever made it must have worked a long time on it which just goes to show that if you work hard, than the final result will be awesome. You can find this game at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/21990585/
So, first day at this game creator camp. Pretty cool so far I guess, I'm exited to start making a game on Scratch. I'm probably making an RPG, IDK what about, but it'll be cool no matter what. I'm going to try to make cool looking characters, because that sort of makes the game I think.
